I would go on the live chat for ebay and ask if you can get the feedback removed since he was a non paying bidder. They typically don't allow non payers to leave feedback I think.

My hubby died back in 02. He managed my ebay sales for me with a paypal acct. I know that there's at least a couple hundred in there, but its in his name, and no one I've ever talked to can help me....don't even know if the money would still be there, and no one's ever given me a clue as to how to get it. Hell, I don't even remember his ebay seller name.

I'm just getting ready to start selling again, but there's so many scams that I'm afraid to even take money orders anymore. Anyone got a catchall place I can read up on all the crap scammers pull?

www.419eater.com is a good site: while it mostly deals with advanced fee fraud scams, they have sections that detail them as well.

The big one is that someone will "overpay" you and want you to wire them the difference. When the check bounces, you get nailed with the amount of it, the scammer gets off scott free with the difference. I got a few of these and decided to have fun with them.

I told them that I was keeping all of it, it was there mistake. Too bad so sad. Boy, did they get pissed. They finally tilted their hand when I told them I was planning on spending it - threatened to call the cops on me, and everything else. (which they can't do, obviously. I was contacted by someone pretending to be interpol!) They think they'll have the last laugh when the check bounces, but if the check is for 20k, I tell them I took it to a casino and won 100k. I tell them that I would be more than happy to pay the bank back in cash for the 20k, and I'm still keeping the extra 80k. Thanks for the money!

And the weeping and knashing of teeth is music to my ears.

But he doesn't want any of those crappy old antiques. He wants brand new antiques, dammit!
Thanks Mike, thank you so much. Now my monitor and keyboard are covered in little wet pieces of swedish bread.

            Thats why Rule #1 exists.

I'm a frequent user of Ebay's little brother Half.com . I've never really had any problems. Most people are quick to pay, and I'm quick to ship. I just never liked the people that immediately demand feedback. I mean i never have time to do feedback but i have 100% positive with no negs in 2 years on. Maybe I'm just lucky.
