Quoth EricKei View PostI wonder why more people don't just say "Gesundheit"? It carries the same basic implication (i.e., "I'm guessing that you're a bit sick, get better"), everyone I've ever said it to seems to know what it means, but it has no religious connotation at all. It literally just means "health/healthiness", with the implication of "may you be healthy"."I was only LOOKING, I didn't mean to enter my card's CVV and actually ORDER! REFUND ME RIGHT NOW!!"

At the Old Country Store with Rocking Chairs on its Porch:
My manager told me to start telling customers I love Jesus when they ask me (believe it or not, I was asked this a few times)
I responded to him, "Sooooo....I'm not Christian you know...so, to get this straight......
You want me to lie to a customer? Interesting!
My usual response is ," I don't discuss personal matters while on a time clock." and wish them a good day (and wonder why people say the things they do)

I figure people are trying to be kind to me if they say "God Bless You". I'd accept it as a wish that good things come my way, but I'd be upset if I felt forced to say it back. That's not nice.1129. I will refrain from casting Dimension Jump and Magnificent Mansion on every police box we pass.
