She then basically tells me that if she dies, its my fault. I disagree. If you perish because you can't figure out how to open a window, that's natural selection at work.
I was laughing from the get go, but thank goodness I put down the Diet Dr Pepper before I reached this line, because I would have surely broken rule #1. And my coworkers started looking at me funny as, after I finished laughing out loud, I read the line out loud, to myself, while laughing some more.
Also, yay for people who don't listen. If it was the wrong number the first time I told you it was, it still is. That didn't magically change due to your persistance.

However, you're 80% right. 80% of the people there are f**ktards and morons. 15% of them are cool. 5% of them, myself included, are being driven crazy from dealing with that evil 80%.
Whitehorse, and northern Canada in general, is a beautiful place. However, like all beautiful things, it's got a painfully low IQ.
GK, I love you You quoted Babe!!! (and how many of you knew that line was spoofed in Shrek?)
*raises a hand*
Hell, (crap, I just forgot his name...) James Cromwell has been in a lot of movies I enjoyed...

You have my pity. Unless you've touched a phone after 1am for anything other then pizza, taxi or 911. In which case you have my scorn. My bitter, festering scorn.
Heh. It's not limited to after 1 AM. The on-phone stupidity is going on all day, trust me. It's just that a lot of people are usually drunk by then. But they're stupid all the time.
And thank Gord that you're not working tech support in this area. I did once. I demanded to be transferred to service, or else my head would explode.
Looking at the thread title, I'd be worried if a customer came up to me and said "I need a stick or a bat or something"
I've been here for two years, work harder than most others, and I'm getting paid $1.80 an hour less than the 17 year old slacker you hired two months ago. Maybe that's why I'm not chipper at work.
I, perhaps foolishly, elected to hit MoneyMart this evening to save me a trip to the bank after I get off work this morning. There was, however, a fatal flaw in my plan I was not aware of. Namely that the closest MoneyMart to Edmonds station is two stations down…..in Surrey.-.-
Wow, I think you deserve a medal of bravery for that one. I make an effort not to visit Surrey after dark, let alone go to a Money Mart.

Maybe it was the fact I was on my way to work so part of my brain was subconsciously hoping for an excuse not to go. Being mugged and left for dead in an alley would do it
As for how many companies we answer for? Damn...hmmm...if I was at work I could dig through the database and tell you. But I'm not ( last day off <sob> ). However I can confidently estimate its over 100. I'll find out tomorrow night.
EG = Evening girl who gets off as my shift starts. Yes, the Mario 64 one.
Me: Moi, of course.
( As I walk in the door )
EG: "Hi, Gravekeeper!"
Me: "..why are you so damn cheery?
EG: "Because I get to go home soon!"
Me: "I will *not* tolerate that kind of cheerfulness when I first walk into the office."
EG: "Oh, well sorry. *(&$@ you, Gravekeeper!"
Me: "That's more like it."
-.-
Oops, do this quite a bit.
Sorry! (Said cheerily)
...but I'm a bastard and so desensitized to the scum of humanity that I'm immune to the Stun status effect.
