See this is why I am so glad that our store has self checkouts, and there's 8 of them. So this way I do not have to wait for some idiot in front of me taking their time with a transaction. 
On the other hand, if I see 1 of our cashiers with no one in their line, I'll go to theirs post haste, racing other customers if I have to. But while I have maybe 2 items at most, they mostly gotta push a big slow cart
