It's amazing what people are willing to listen to though. Why just a few weeks ago, The Today Show (at least, I think it was) did a story on eBay and how a lot of the stuff online was stolen. Granted, I can see how some of it is and how easy it is to sell stuff that is stolen online.

Anyway, just after that episode aired, my co-worker and I noticed a serious drop in bids (being a Pawn Shop and having 'Pawn' in our username probably didn't help us either). To the point where we were considering on relisting all the auctions that didn't sell (which would be quite a few) and we were about ready to put a disclaimer on our auctions. Luckily, that whole deal only lasted a couple days and everyone was back to their normal ways. Still, it was such a noticeable drop-off, that my co-worker and I were kinda worried about our jobs . . .

If it's war they want, it's war they get. I suggest we launch TAKE BACK FRIDAY, where we let out everything we've always kept in. How about this be the day we tell entitlement whores and SCs everywhere "GET BENT!"

I remember when I used to read CNN.com religiously, back when they used to carry real stories. Been a long time, though. I wandered back there today, saw the thing about the cup-stacking girl, saw that Anna Nicole Smith was the leading article, and ran screaming back into the welcoming arms of the Straight Dope.

Stupid tabloid journalism.

First of all this has come and gone.

Secondly I read the article and it tells people to treat us with dignity, politeness, and respect. All things we frequently lament the fact that few people actually do so and wish that more would.

Thirdly this came out of the JetBlue incident and frankly even the most pacifistic among us has to agree that JetBlue was totally in the wrong and needs to be called on the carpet for their actions.

Lastly, if anyone things they they are going to take this article and use it against the intent of the writers in an attempt to railroad me into doing their bidding...to quote Joe Swanson from Family Guy...
