As it always was
Back in the dawn of time, when petrol was 59p a litre, people still tried to jump the queue. Unfortunately, the prime suspects were those who wanted £10 of petrol, but had pumped £10.02 or similar.
They didn't think it funny after ShiftBoss started capturing registration numbers, and awarding (fun, free) gold stars to us for spotting offenders, so he could make sure to yell "What about the rest of the money?" after them, so everyone else thought they were a drive off. Embarrassment on their part, surprisingly little grief on our part, since most didn't fancy kicking off in front of an audience that thinks they're a scammer.
Wouldn't recommend it today, of course. Too many psycho road ragers.
