      They probably are, as I'm sure they wanted flawless flower petals, and real ones are rarely flawless. That, and likely cheaper than going through thousands of flowers to find the right petals.

        Not to mention unlikely to wilt under stage lighting and multiple takes, possably over several days. Rather clever, really, for some ad agency to think of using the sweepings to sell a special edition to the fans.

          Plus, one day under the hot lights and they'd be toast--literally.

          Even treated with glycerin or somethng, they're not going to last that long.
          When you start at zero, everything's progress.

            That pretty much defines the advertising industry: using other people's garbage to make something special.
