I would have replied with "English Motherf***er. Can you read it?"

Heh, well the DVD sold this morning anyways. Just to be on the safe side, I'm paraphrasing my description AGAIN in an email directly to the buyer.

Better safe than sorry, especially with all the techy-techy-ness that Amazon's been so kindly displaying lately.

I know that were I a small-time seller operating on eBay, I'd likely block anyone asking questions that were already answered in the listing. It'd be guaranteed if it was part of the title.
As would I. They're being intentionally dense and would probably be the kind to complain once they got their item.

I'm thinking it's just plain comprehension fail...reading or no reading...really, you'd rather pay $6 than $45 for a mint condition disc? I think most of us would...however, the planets rarely align that way.

Oh frick. FRICK. Frick frick frick.

I just got an email from OCD buyer that he is the one who purchased the DVD, he did on his "alternate Amazon account". Aaaand, to prove it was him, he provided the full purchase email as a proof. I've already got an email prepped to Amazon in case he tries to complain, pointing out that he was warned, and the fact that he used an alternate account to buy it from me is a nice red flag.

I'd have canceled the order, but he waited to tell me until I marked it as shipped. Now he wants tracking information, etc etc. He, of course, picked the cheapest shipping he could, so there is none.

Is there any reason why you shouldn't give Amazon a heads up before things start hitting the fan?

Especially as I'd view an alternate account as a red flag - can anyone who knows Amazon comment as to whether it's permitted?

Oh dear, I wish I hadn't read this. The stupid burns behind my eyes. It sounds to me like they just did a search for the item they wanted and didn't bother to read the listing before emailing you. Yikes.
And it's not limited to craigslist or ebay.

My BF also gets that when he tries to arrange photo shoots. He puts the details in the notice and STILL has people asking him for the details. Or - even worse - just one-word messages of "Interested!".

Good point. I opened a case just now, explaining that I'm quite worried about the fact that a customer used an alt acct to buy it, especially after I was watching out for him.

Really, REALLY don't need something like this. If I get another negative feedback right after my previous undeserved one, I'm so screwed. ><
