here in the UK, it considered weird not to like at least one foreign cuisine. Between Chinese, Indian, Italian, Spanish & Greek, I eat "foreign" more than i eat UK.
Hah, there's a restaurant in Halifax (Nova Scotia) - the Old Triangle Alehouse. They sell a buttload of UK/Irish beers and the menu is also uniquely UK. The curried chicken on chips with mushy peas is to die for.

I've got a lot of European cultures in my ancestry, and I don't let that define my tastes. Part Russian but hate vodka and not a big fan of borscht, fair bit of German and I do like sausage and beer, but only pilsners/lagers. Large bit of English/Scots/Irish, but I hate ale and stout and nothing on earth will ever get me to try haggis again. Love Italian and Greek food except for being allergic to eggplant. Tsatziki is awesome, btw.

I'm Canadian. I stereotypically love maple syrup and bacon, together if possible, but really, who doesn't love those, regardless of culture?

I'm pretty much the only person in my family who doesn't like maple syrup.

        I'm bringing disdain back...with a vengeance.

Oh, and your tool box called...you got out again.

Who here isn’t Greek and loves the stuff anyway?

I mean really... gene-wise I'm German, Polish, and Scottish ... so that means by her reasoning I can only eat food from those 3 countries?

Too bad I didn't know. I guess that means I'll have to stop liking every other food I've ever liked. Get me a plate of haggis please!

(actually ... i'd like to try haggis )

I'm Puerto Rican, German and Irish. My favorite type of food is Italian. I'd be bored if I had to eat my heritage's meals, even though I love my spanish rice and beans and chicken.
