Not to get into fratching, but I was raised Catholic but have slipped away over the years. Still, if I were in your shoes when that lady went to grab it, I would have flipped out on her physically. Of course, I'd leave her with, "umm, as a Christian, aren't you taught to love your enemies??", then try to keep hugging her as she's trying to assault me.

Most of the comments I got were "Oh, are you Jewish?" Yeah.

But I noticed what really weirded people out was not when I was dressed all in black, or in jeans, but when I had a pentacle and was dressed "corporate". You could just see some people's brains come to a screeching halt as they tried to reconcile the pentacle with the silk skirt and cashmere twinset. In pastels.

I personally blame my time deployed to Iraq for that, where keeping strangers away from you was simply a good survival method. Your last story made me sad for PK. Makes me wish I could buy the game for him. The mom and sister ought to be ashamed of themselves. I really feel bad for PK having to live in that type of environment.
