  • It'll take a bigger woman than you to make me cry!

On CSD last night, customer comes in shouting, yelling generally being a silly cow. Any how, after a shit load of abuse, yelling, screaming etc etc I finally get her sorted out, smile pleasantly and say goodbye. She just stands there looking at me. I ask if I can help with something else. She says

"After all the abuse I've just given you, you're still smiling?" with a very quizzical look on her face.
Me: what did you expect me to do? Cry?
    SC: Well, yeah
Me: I'll tell you something, it'll take a bigger, better and nastier woman than you to make me cry, away and catch yourself on.
    SC: I want a manager
Me: Ok, you want a manager because you were really abusive to me and I didn't cry, is that right?
    SC: ....... slinks off

I spent the rest of the night laughing my ass off about it!

Bravo, way to go putting her in her place

When i first started my job i used to cry if a customer even looked at me angrily but after 10 years i've developed a very thick skin and can pretty much handle anything thrown at me

When i was pregnant i'd turn into a blubbering mess again.

Yeah, they actually DO complain about that sometimes.

                Wow.
I always give mean people the benefit of the doubt and assume that they are just ignorant/mentally unstable/stressed out/desperate.
But that one actually wanted to see someone cry. That's just so....sad. What's wrong with people?

She wanted someone to break down and cry.

What a wretched, vindictful little person. Makes it all the more sweet she got put in her place.

Boozy, Talon, right on. I was thinking the same thing. Good lord, what an awful, bitter, poisonous person.

That woman has serious issues. Why doesn't she just go down to the nearest playground and tell the little kids that she kills puppies?

Seriously. I'm not sure if it's refreshing or chilling that some people are fully aware of how horrible they are!
