      YAY, another Seraph story! I'mnotworthy! I'mnotworthy! I'mnotworthy!

      -----------------------------------------

Okay, The Lord wants me to speak to someone out there...I think your name is, uh, Sarah? No, uh, Seraph? Yeah, that's it, Seraph! Praise The Lord! And I believe God's telling me you're a, umm, a web designer? Halleluja! Amen, now! Now, Sister Seraph, The Lord says that if you will have enough faith to plant a seed of just five hundred dollars in Cat Herder Ministries - again, that's a small faith seed of only five hundred dollars - amen, now! - then Yea, He will prosper yeeew a thousandfold! Halleluja! Can I get a "amen", now?

It's funny - if these ventures are such sure-fire money makers, why can't these people advance you the money and keep your cut of future profits? Paying you $1000 now instead of $50,000 later is a much better deal!

It's not like they'd be risking anything, after all.

Hee! Just ask these scammers that and watch their heads explode!

Or, more likely, they'll just repeat their sales spiel about how "it's a wonderful opportunity"!

I have found in my business (patent agent), where I require payment up front, and such offers do happen, that the person does not have the $1000 to begin with. They are wanting someone to front them the work in exchange for a maybe return in the future. I tell them such a deal is unethical and I can not do it.

                      No money offer

One such offer to me did not even get as far as the money.

I took on look at their system where the browser had toolbars covering two thirds of the browser window, told them I would not even consider touching their computer until they got rid of all toolbars..

They refused, I walked. Any startup business run by such a person is doomed!
