  • politely sort of sucky

Boyfriend works some twenty miles from home.we are round the corner from home in the supermarket.A customer of his recognises him, stops us and proceeds to ask him questions relating to his work, very politely.Boyfriend answers all questions very politely for about ten minutes.Customer thanks him and goes off.
Customer "why did you answer the phone if you can't help me?"

IMO, I don't think he'd be considered an SC unless he knew your boyfriend didn't want to discuss work when off the job. Some people do, some don't - some people keep work and private time very seperate, others don't. If boyfriend was happy to discuss the matters with him, no problem any way you look at it. If, on the other hand, he didn't want to spend his off time "working" (which would be very understandable) I think he should have told the customer, very politely, "I'd be happy to answer all your questions, just give me a call or come in anytime I'm on duty". or something like that. If the person persisted, then he'd definitely be an SC at that point.

    Madness takes it's toll....

I haven't worked at the Hardware store in 3 years and people still ask me questions.

I keep hoping to piss off a SC so they will go and try to get me fired.
