bhskittykatt you may have to inform that customer that they may now owe for a broken brain. Poor Mytical has been sitting over in the corner babbling about 'dirt and water, not dirty?' with a confused look on his face ever since reading this. If you are wondering who I am, I am the 'emergency brain broadcast' manager.
Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. She is my Silver Dragon, shining as bright as the sun. I her Black Dragon (though good honestly), dark as night..fierce and strong.

I have to say I used to draft customer service responses and I wholeheartedly approve of yours.

I'm just trying to figure out why, if it was SO valuable, she wasn't taking better care of it, like, say, keeping it in a bag of some sort.

Betcha it was something like a mass market paperback too...
I did not see the book, but I have the same feeling. Maybe it was a textbook or something, but that wasn't the vibe I was getting when she came in.

I mean, I have mass-market paperbacks I'm somewhat attached to...but if I lose one, it's not the end of the world. I had one of those little New Testaments that the Gideons hand out. It got stolen (with a bunch of other stuff), and I was a little mad because I'd filled it with little notes...but I just got another one and started writing new notes. No biggie.

Though I did tell Hubs that I would kill him if he moved or misplaced any of my Post-It notes in my copy of Dante's Inferno...that thing is stuffed with notes from my medieval lit class. Even if I lost them, though, it wouldn't kill me (and I'm long done with that class anyways).

That was a very good letter. Just the right amount of snark, while pretending to be distressed.
