I would love to be a store owner and hear a line like that...

I'd accuse them of lying to their face. When they inevitably respond by puffing themselves up and getting angry, I'd respond with something along these lines:

"Well, there's really only two possible results here: (a) You are lying about coming back, and I'd really like to minimize the number of dishonest people in my store...or, (b) you're actually telling the truth, which means you are no longer a customer, and I no longer have to pretend to like you or that I want your business!... Either way, I don't want you here. Bug off."
"For a musician, the SNES sound engine is like using Crayola Crayons. Nobuo Uematsu used Crayola Crayons to paint the Sistine Chapel." - Jeremy Jahns (re: "Dancing Mad")
"The difference between an amateur and a master is that the master has failed way more times." - JoCat

"Retail is a cruel master, and could very well be the most educational time of many people's lives, in its own twisted way." - me
"Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down...tell you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens...makes her a home." - Capt. Malcolm Reynolds, "Serenity" (2005)

I'd kiss my SM if he said that to a sucktomer.
      In a totally non-gay way.
      If thats possible..

But saying it in a gay way would piss off the sucktomer even more.

I'd pay a fairly large sum of money for a DVD of that whole scenario . . . Including the kiss, of course.

Maybe we should start a CS.com KickStarter (fundraiser) and use the dough to compile a DVD of our best War Stories and "I Wish" scenarios (like the above) from the site ... users could submit their own (amateur) videos and such...

            Hmmmmmmm.....

              "Promise?"
              Actually my answer would be:

              "See you next week!"

Less likely to get you in trouble for antagonizing a customer.
