  • Have a great day to the verbally abusive customer

One time I was working the closing shift and after our closing time this customer was paying with a credit card... Ok so I flipped the card and the signature was on there but it was hard to see so I asked for some ID..

The customer said that he didn't have any ID

Ok so I told him that he needed to show ID in order to verify the signature to the slip and card.

In this scenario I couldn't handle this on my own so I get a CSM..

She couldn't handle it either so she gets our kickass Manager.

He told the guy if he had ID or anything with a signature to Verify that it's his card, and he said no so was paying cash

The SC was pissed at the Manager saying that his card is signed and that we are all a$$holes

My Manager is like "Have a great day" to the Verbully abusive a$$hat.!

    LOL
Providing Excellent customer service and Filtering out nonsense people.

Had a similar situation. Once again, the place was Chesterfield. The time... I forget. It was myself and Awesome AM working. Group of teenagers comes carousing into the store. Looks around a bit, asks me, in passing, "Where's the porn?" Now, see, I'm smarter than they expected, and return with, "Are you 18?"
Group blows me off, goes wandering the store on their own, entirely (luckily) walking right past the mature. Come back to me again, busy in anther section. "Where's the porn?"
"I'm not telling you. In fact, let's see your ID, or I'm going to have to ask you to leave."
"What? I don't need ID to know where the porn is."
"No, but you do need to be 18 by state law to even be in the section."
Etc. Etc. for about forty passes. AM, suddenly realizing what has been going on, and seeing me about to kill them, steps in, and says, "Okay, guys, ID, or get the hell out." (I don't think he actually said Hell, but he implied it.)
    Hmmm... they left.
    "I call murder on that!"
