I was ringing up a mom and daughter and had my hands on a cat post-type thing with some natural scratchy material. It was the mom's transaction. She suddenly realized, oh no--that goes on daughter's transaction. So she ripped it out of my hands and put it to the back. They were talking, so she probably didn't realize I was holding it, but she should've asked me if I had rung it up instead of just grabbing it. Two-year-olds are grabby. Fifty-year-olds should know better. I got a tiny splinter I couldn't see that stung like the dickens. I stopped to try to find it and get it out and mom noticed, so I told her "I have a splinter." She didn't even respond because she was so busy dividing the spoils. Nice. Well, at least the daughter said thank you.

She couldn't just ask for it back, she had to tear it from your hands like you were trying to destroy it?! And of course, she'd be the first to complain if your manners weren't quite up to par.

Hope you got that splinter out. Tiny injuries always seem to hurt way out of proportion.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.
