Couldn't they pay a huge fine (more than double or about triple) for a second table or display? If they want it that bad, let them pay for it. If anything, the high cost should shun them away and prevent you from dealing with their entitlement issues.

Yep, too much apologizing! I've made quite a few changes (sorry, once I got rolling I couldn't stop! ) I guess I'm a wannabe editor!

And, although my BF doesn't do art shows, he is a photographer on the side. I cannot imagine him acting like that. In fact he gets very annoyed by similar attitudes when he's scouting for possible subjects to shoot.

As a collector for over 30 years, I've always appreciated shows that have a large variety of artists. I've purchased art work from $10 to over $5000. I buy pieces I want to have in my home and look at. I applaud your policy of fairness in space allocation.

Sorry about the long delay guys, I know a few of you have probably been waiting for the news I promised. I'll give a little update.

So the artist decided to complain to my boss. The boss whose known me for three years, basically trained me when I took over the show, and was one of the people who made the rule stating one panel per artist. The artist talked to my boss like she was a child, extremely condescendingly, and when my boss asked what was going on, I forwarded all the emails I'd shared with the artist.

Needless to say, someone might not be in the show anymore since she actually pissed off my boss and the emails I sent my boss prove the artist has been pulling this entitled shit and was trying to bully me. My boss might have tolerated a little EW, but when her staff is getting bullied......

Let's just say I can't wait to receive her reply.

Hah! I'm glad to hear things are progressing this way. I was going to recommend being as polite as possible yet allowing this artist to drive off the ledge over it. After all, you are full up with space and are not at all hurting for participation. Doesn't sound like they have much to bargain with. Hopefully this artist is banned from the show and their spot given to an artist who would actually appreciate the opportunity.

Yeah, we've had many artists registering including a few i love! *they've been with us before and are a delight to host*

At the very least, if we still have to put up with this artist, I wouldn't count on them getting any good spots.

There are a couple of artists that show at furry conventions who are so up their own asses that I'm not sure how they manage to draw anything that isn't a self-portrait of their bowels. >_<

I actually have several pieces from one of them from back before anyone knew who she was, and I honestly think her art was more interesting back then.
