To start with we deliver salt for water softeners and we sell it in the shop too. I was on the phone with a customer with my back to the door when all of sudden I hear this unreal bellowing:
Salt! Salt! Salt!
Still on the phone I turn around and the door is open, but there is no one there and the yelling continues!
A coworker gets up and goes outside to see what's going on. Now I only caught part of it, but it went something like this:
Rant, rant, rant Incompetent delivery guy! holler, scream....
My dog is friendly! I've been a customer for years! I want salt now!
More ranting and bellowing!
Now, it ends up that our delivery person attempted a delivery when his huge dog was outside. He rode his motorized chair? scooter? the 5 blocks to our shop just to holler in the parking lot.
How easy would a phone call have been to let us know that the dog was in? One phone call and he would have had salt, however, our delivery person was no where near his house and he had to wait a day for his salt!
