    Clueless old woman

    Sitting at my game store today reading the forums and wondering why I am not going to a NYE party tonight.

    Me: Awesome game store manager
    COL: Crazy Old Lady

    COL: Hi, I am looking for <insert mall address>
    Me: The whole mall is <address>, can you narrow that down?
    COL: I want to know where to pick up my money
    Me: Um, I am not sure where you might do that.
    COL: *wanders off to the ticket place across the hall* Hmm, West Coast Tickets, they should do it....

    GAH! Why do people assume that I am information central??? Yes I know where the washrooms are but if you want to know the time that place upstairs is closed or if such and such a store takes visa, go ask them yourself. I DO NOT KNOW.

    Sorry about your NYE, Sandiercy. I'm not going anywhere either.

    As for your COL, are you near an entrance? Maybe yours is the first place she saw when she came in the door? I've been known to go into a store and say "Do you know where X is, please?" but that's about it. "I want to know where to pick up my money" doesn't leave you much to go on. I'd have been tempted to say, "How about your bank?" but that is probably not good customer relations ...

      We are near an entrance but there are certainly places that are much more visible and much closer to the door.

        Just luck of the draw then, I guess! Although at least she didn't go into a five-minute rant about why you wouldn't "help" her ...

        I hope this doesn't make you run screaming, but I had some of this at a relative's on Christmas Day and loved it. Unfortunately, I don't actually have any in the house ... will have to dig around and see what I've got to toast 2013 with.
