There's a place like that just over the hill from me. Daniel's Discount (hardware store) has been around forever. You name it, they have it. If they don't, it doesn't exist It's a pain getting out of there though, because of the one-way streets...but the service (better than the big-box stores) is worth it, IMHO. No idea why my family quit going there...but I think the 10% discounts at Hechinger's my dad and I enjoyed were probably part of it

Just in case you didn't know, I work in a computer shop. Builds & repairs.

Me: Good afternoon, *******'s. How may I help you?

SC: Yeah...Umm...What kinda of card swipers do you have?

Me: Swipers? Like the ones for bank cards & the like?

SC: Yeah.

Me: Nothing at all. Best bet would be to contact a financial institution regarding that sort of hardware.

SC: *Annoyed tone* It's NOT for a bankcards..I need the ones for pass cards & stuff.

Me: Same deal. Best to call a security or alarm company I'd think.

SC: Well *humphf* YOU should carry them! You do computers don't you?

Me: Last time I checked yes we did. But in my years of working in comp shops I've never had anyone ask for what you're looking for. That item you need is probably...Is carried by ***** alarms in town.

SC: How do you know that?

Me: In the time that you first asked me I've already googled & found your product. Call the alarm company.

SC: Are you SURE?!?!

Me: Nope. But their online catalogue has a mess of them. They may be doing a shifty bait & switch...You never can tell.

SC: WHAT ?!? ......
