There is a man who unfortunately visits my place of business at least once a month. We call him "Commander McBrag." He looks like he's in his 70's, but has told my guards that he has been in every world war. Considering that the first one went from 1914-1918, if that were true, he would be in the neighborhood of 120 (I don't know the age restriction for enlistment back then off the top of my head). He claims he is blind (and carries around a walking stick thingie that he never uses), but he can see me well enough and anyone that walks by he recognizes.
He comes to my building every month for a public meeting. He tells people he's a commissioner for the city, but he isn't. My first encounter with him was him trying to enter the building before it opened (these meetings start pretty early), and when I told him the building was still closed he threatened to get me fired because he's a commissioner and can make that happen. (To my chagrin, I gave in to his bluff. But never since.) He still knocks on the front door every time. And every time I tell him the building is closed and promptly ignore him. Unfortunately, even if I do not let him in, virtually every tenant in the building that starts early will let him into the lobby as they enter the building. There is no point in kicking him back out, because someone else will let him right back in within 5 minutes. Even POLICE that work in the building will let this guy in, and they couldn't possibly recognize the guy.
And what does he do when he makes it into the building? He just parks himself right next to my desk. And stares at me. And waits. Now, I can ignore him (and I do!), but he can't seem to go five minutes without talking to someone. So, without fail, he'll get on his phone and seemingly call up his contact list one after another to have someone to talk at. (And remember, this is before the sun rises. I'd hate to be on his contact list.) When the floor finally opens up, he scoots off upstairs.
Two hours later, he's right back down and sitting next to me again. Staring. Talking to people as they pass by. Calling people on his phone. Hitting some button on his phone so it vocalizes the time. He tells us to keep an eye on our security feed for his ride (couldn't care less buddy). He acts all nice and (if I'm not there) talks about me behind my back to the other guards, like they wouldn't mention to me what he said. Back when we had female guards, he would hit on them in a very creepy way.
And just the other week, he went up to the tenants that owned the building to complain about security not letting him in early. Fortunately, the person he talked to happens to be a friend of mine and had my back. She then came down later and told me what he tried to do.
He's not a nightmare to deal with, but boy. He's obnoxious. Anyone have any "favorite" SC's that bother them regularly? Or, if not a specific person, a type of person?
