i always hate it when it's obvious that people are talking business... and some jerk act like you're just chatting about the latest movie or something

Yeah; I once was on the phone in the shop talking to the manager about a petrol spill on the forecourt and asking him to come over and inspect it to see if we had to close the petrol station or not... and this customer passively aggressively said, "It would be nice if some people could serve customers rather than chatting to their friends!"
