I was working the lumber department when this older guy and his son or coworker were checking out. I was taking out a Toxic Waste candy and unwrapping it, going to have it for myself, and I commented on how sour it was and how much I enjoyed it. The older guy pipes up:
"You know, women are a lot like candy: sometimes you get a sour one, but you really want a sweet one."
Me: "My favorite part is unwrapping them..."
Old and young guy: (laughing)
Me: "Some of us also prefer the King Size, or Fun Size..."
Old and young guy: (laughing harder now)
I was going to go on about Mounds or cream filling but that would have taken it too far. Glad they had a good sense of humor though.
