Hello again! Glad I found this part of the site, I've got a few customers who truly belong here.
There's the older couple who don't make it around all that often, but whenever they do they're a real pleasure. Always ask about the employees health, have a nice predictable order that we can prepare for them almost before they reach the counter...
and the clincher is that, around Christmas, they drop off a big box of candy for the employees. Those two have earned a very special place in my heart; they always get an employee discount at the least when I'm on the register. Those two are the highlight of the week/fortnight whenever I get to see them.
The other two work at the apple store (authors note: neither of them are old, and definitely aren't a couple). I probably wouldn't have met the first one if it hadn't been for an accident, which still makes me laugh to this day. As I'm sure you're all aware, when ordering large drinks it is very easy to lose control of said beverage. I think you can see where this is going. The customer informed me (with a fistful of napkins) that he'd dropped his 42 oz coke onto the carpet. The girl he was with poked fun at him the entire time, but for whatever reason we now talk constantly since he's in the store almost every day. He even helped my brother fix his mac when it crashed.
The other mac guy is...well, I don't know the full details of his side business, but he and his friends make all kinds of odd-yet-hilarious shirts (for example, a pistol with "simple point and click interface" as the caption). He's also in the store a lot, so we get to talk about shirt designs and new apple products he thinks I'd be interested in.
All in all, we get our fair share of great customers. I'm glad I was able to share these ones with you!
