Last night, I left the grocery store and found when I got to my car that the car parked on the passenger side was so close that I couldn't push my cart that way (I was parked facing the store). And on the driver's side was a huge slushy mound of snow that made it impossible to push the cart through.
None of these had been an issue when I went in because I didn't have a full cart then, and I didn't stop to think at the time. Cars all up and down the aisle were either parked close together or separated by more slushy mounds of snow, so I couldn't just cut through a parking spot away.
Sigh. Yes, I know it was only a few feet, but I was tired.
Until I heard, "Let me help you!" It was the cart shagger. He carried all my bags from the cart to the trunk of my car so (to quote him) "you don't have to try and push the cart through the snow."
It was such a little thing, but it made my night.
