Short background: I have/had somewhat thick hair. It's a bitch when it gets long.
I went to have my hair cut this morning at a basic salon. This one is known for doing haircuts and ONLY haircuts. They charge a little extra for a wash or dry or both, but generally if you've washed your hair in the last 24 hours and it's warm, it's not a problem.
When the hairdresser called out my name and I told her what I wanted her to do, she took one look at how much hair I had and said that because using the spray bottle would be ineffective when I had SO much hair, I basically received a wash on the house. (i'd paid for it prior so I could pick up a newspaper while I waited).
She did a very good job with my hair though, keeping it to the length I wanted and thinning it out to take some of the weight off.
She did a LOT better than my previous hairdresser, who would cut it short, but had almost zero concept of styling.
