The following occurred Friday via an intra-company IM:
User: Hi Kilamon! I've getting some files from ftp and need to ask you to not delete them, ok?
Me: Ok. Should I delete them after you're done?
User: No, don't delete them!
Me: Alright... so do ... nothing?
User: Yes. Should I create a ticket for this?
Me: A ticket telling me not to do anything?
User: I just don't want my data removed.
Me: I won't delete anything unless I have a ticket telling me to delete. I don't need a ticket to be lazy.
User: ok, thanks!
Now, I'm not sure wtf was going on there. Users constantly suprise me. A ticket to not to anything? Paranoid about data deletion? The more I consider it, the more it doesn't make sense (which isn't allowed, I know).
