  • Zango is at it again

Note: I'm posting this hear because all of us tech-types just KNOW that someone we know will end up trying to install this...

    http://blog.spywareguide.com/2008/09...online-vi.html

Apparently, someone has put up a fake advertisement for a "Batman Online" game, that doesn't seem to exist. The site these ads link to convince users to install Zango crapware and then lead the poor fool to a demo version of a game that came out in 2001. It's not even an online game.

I do hope someone sues this company into the ground for this. I really do, because I'm tired of having to clean up the mess people make from installing this crap.

Either the writers are getting more desperate, or they are getting brilliant. I haven't figured out which yet.

More like people aren't getting smarter. It's the same crap. Packaged with the latest fad.
I've lost my mind ages ago. If you find it, please hide it.

I agree. Just look at all the phishing attempts I'm getting from @aol.com email addresses. Oh, the CEO of Bank of America wants me to send him my bank information to his @aol.com email address? OK!!!
