  • He has too many emails!

    I get yet another high priority email with the subject line

    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

    It is from the same admin who wanted me to call her client's IT guy to tell him how to configure his enterprise server (I didn't do that).

    One of the executives she works for is getting an error message when he tries to send or receive email;

    Your disk space is full.

    She needed us to rush down to show him what to do.

    Easy, hilight the email and hit the DELETE key. If not, move the to one of the personal folders (which we showed them a month ago).

    Seriously, this admin was cool when she was a customer service rep but ever since she came to this position she's been emailing us daily wth things like this.

        At least this admin is pretty cool. I just showed him how to make new PST files then move his folders into that one.

        He's happy now and it's another ticket in my bucket.

          lol that's what i was thinking. PST files are awesome... i usually kept mine on the thumb drive, and then i'd save copies to my laptop for extra safety in case the servers crashed and ate my emails.

            I recommend that to everyone and how many people have gotten any kind of USB drive?

            NONE!!

            Then they complain that it's all lost because their HDD went FUBAR (well, rarely can I NOT get data off of a drive, but still).

              That sounds like a serious Code 18 I/O Error.

              ...as in an Ignorant Operator error made by a user (usually the person who is sitting within 18 inches from the screen)

                That sounds a lot like an I.D. 10-T error.

                    I'm thinking more of a combination of both... like maybe an I.D. 10-T BKAC Error (idiot between keyboard and chair)
