  • driver drove away?

I have a Creative Zen MP3 player. Brand new since around March. All of a sudden, it is not recognized when I try to sync it. The computer states that the device that is connected has failed or it is an unknown device. I have rebooted, restarted, and uninstalled and reinstalled the driver and it still says the same thing. I've been using it for almost half a year with no problem and I can't figure out for the life of me why my driver drove away.

Most likely b/c I'm on vacation, and the Gods conspire against me so that my lifetime track record of having horrible vacations will not end.

    Help?

If it helps, I have Vista (yeah don't shoot me - every computer in every store was Vista when my last one bombed out on me.) 250GB, 1024 MB memory and it's maybe 6 months old.
If you are thinking to yourself, "Hmmm, should I post this?" it should probably go HERE.

I'd suggest that it might be either a physical or logical fault with the Zen player, or one of the latest patches broke the driver. Either way, check the Knowledge Base on Creative's website to see if it's a known issue.
