Tried to connect to the internet on my laptop computer. (I have dial-up).
I tried a few times and got error number 1717 every time: The interface is unknown.
Called up my ISP, who googled the error message and told me to fix it I'd have to go into the registry and muck around with something in there.
I wouldn't know the first thing to do there.
I decided to try and restart the computer first, and that cleared up the error, because I'm talking to you now.
I'm just wondering, was the person at my ISP right? If I get this error again, and I can't fix it by restarting the computer, am I going to have to go into the registry and hope I don't fuck things up worse?
