Okay, another day, another side job.
I got a laptop that got an unmountable boot volume error BSOD. I initially thought it was a bad HDD, then I researched and found out it was probably the MBR.
So I pull out the HDD and back up the info as an external on mine.
(Anyone doing HW support, you need this.)
So, I try the recovery console from an image I found. Couldn't see the HDD. I let it sit overnight, planning to get a new HDD after work. I boot it up this afternoon to test one more thing, and the darn thing went and booted.... without me doing anything to it.
My question. Should I suggest still going ahead with the HDD replacement?
