    Even though he is all done, and sounds like he did a good job of getting Windows 7 on the machine This needs cleared up a bit.

    If you install Windows Vista over another windows install you will generally end up with a Windows.Old folder that houses the contents of the drive before the install. Unless he manually told it to use the recovery partition that is. The Windows.Old folder will take up massive amounts of space, so its best to copy the data you need out of it and then delete it.
