How about some Japanese Comedian Trivia? Let's talk about the guys on my favorite comedy show in Japan, Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!! (This is no job for errand boys)
-The main comedy group for Gaki no Tsukai is "Downtown" (Hamada Masatoshi, Matsumoto Hitoshi), "Cocorico" (Endou Shozo, Tanaka Naoki), and Yamasaki Hosei. The latter three are younger than the Downtown members, and tend to act subservient in most episodes...until not doing so brings about a better punchline.
-Hamada is often referred to as the Super Sadist, often smacking cast members (with slaps, fans, etc), and playing vicious pranks on various cast members. During one episode, he was put on mock trial, where Matsumoto jokingly demanded the death penalty. Tanaka mentioned during the trial that a prank in which Hamada pretended to become furious with him for fumbling a line during recording caused him to "cry on someone's chest for the first time of my life."
-Tsunku, of the rock group Sharan Q, claims he got his first big break when Hamada slapped him in public, and says any musician that Hamada slaps will make it big.
-Hamada is often ridiculed for his appearance, most often by Matsumoto, because of his large lips. His nicknames include "monkey child," "chimpanzee,""baby gorilla," and "lip monster."

-Matsumoto is a skilled artist, but Hamada is not - an occasional bit on the show is to give cast members an idea and have them describe what Hamada's drawings will look like, often with hilarious results.
-The biggest show of the year for Gaki no Tsukai is the annual Batsu Geme (Punishment Game), which airs every year on New Years Eve. The games have grown over the years, going from simple tasks as a result of losing a bet (ie, going to the Evion factory for a bottle of water), but in recent years have changed into 24 hour long games of tag, and the infamous "No Laughing" games. The No Laughing series involves renting a location, completely remodeling it, and hiring out dozens of comedians, actors, and musicians to make the victims laugh, wherein they are promptly punished by receiving a smack (and one year, a dart) to the ass. These shows are hilarious to watch, but in recent years have 5-7 hours of airtime.
-Yamasaki Hosei and Tanaka Naoki are traditionally the cast members who laugh the least during the games, so the staff devised special punishments specifically for them. Yamasaki is traditionally targeted by former professional wrestler, who slaps his viciously across the face (a bit which never fails to make the other four members laugh hysterically multiple times). Tanaka is punished by a professional kickboxer delivering a "thai kick" to his ass, which he also tends to play for laughs among the other members.
-Endo Shozo is generally considered the "good looking" one of the bunch, and is punished in other ways. While trying to make him laugh, he will often be groped by women, most notably by Matsuko Deluxe. He will often then be slapped or hit.
