I'm between batches... I need more counter space so I can get it all out of the crockpot at once instead of waiting for the ones I took out to cool and set.
This is part of why I love my kitchen. I've got something like 12 or 14 linear feet of countertop. And I have so far strenuously resisted cluttering it all up with stuff, so I have room for two or three projects or one really BIG batch of whatever.

So round one of holiday baking is officially DONE. Boxes got shipped out today. Now I take a week to get my house cleaning caught up then I do it again for locals.

My lemon gummies melted. The other flavors were all fine, though, and came out really pretty. I think I know what went wrong with the lemon. Too much acid. Lemon juice plus citric acid. They tasted awesome! Curl your toes tart. They looked great right up until about 20 minutes after I'd rolled them in sugar. Then they melted.

I did dishes last night, so that means I have a clean pot.

I can make the peanut butter corn flake bars tomorrow.

I'll need to break out the step stool tho... I need to reach the big bowl on the top shelf.

And round two begins! Yesterday I made 4 of 6 batches of gummy candy for the next set of boxes. Hopefully this time the coating won't melt off my lemon ones.

Yesterday's progress: 4 batches of fudge and the last 2 flavors of gummy candy. Yay, all done with candy! Now for lots and lots of cookies.

Yesterday I baked 12 dozen decorated spritz butter cookies, and made 3 batches of chocolate chip cookie dough and 2 batches of oatmeal raisin. Closer to being done, hooray!

Friday's baking tally: 14 dozen snickerdoodle cookies. Saturday's: 9 dozen oatmeal raisin cookies and 12 dozen chocolate chip.

Everything is all boxed up, ready to hand out.

Hooray, I'm all done with holiday baking! More time for Fallout 4.

Pfft, coffee I have in sufficient quantities. Bring booze, especially anything that mixes well with coffee or cocoa.
