  • The only Space Marines I got into were the Grey Knights. Loved the unique armor and Nemesis weapons.

    • They are to Space Marines as Marines are to the Imperial Guard. I love their Terminator Armour though.

This is how Bad Assness in the Imperium goes

Adeptus Custodes > Grey Knights > Deathwatch > Adeptus Astartes > Imperial Guard.

I love the Grey Knights for 2 more reasons, one they are Chapter 666 and secondly, they carry a book in their armour incase they get bored while killing the enemy

      • I use to augment mine with a detachment of Imp Guard. Most people saw me with the marines but never expected me to plonk down a Leman Russ

        • I won't play against you if you play as Orks, There's no Yarrick for me to use.

          • I can't do Orks. I definitely a shooty kinda guy. Besides, playing Imp Guard reminds me of when I was in the National Guard.

            • Orks has Shootaz wif plenty of Dakka, sadly though their accuracy would embarras even the Imperial Guard.

              • Yeah. Orks are best close range.
Imps also have a LOT of armor (referring to tanks). Sometimes I played with a rule called Armored Company which allowed me to bring in Chimeras for all my troop choices. Most people don't bother, but with a front armor of 12, a multilas, and heavy bolter (or two depending on configuration) that added some good firepower. I frustrated a friend once when a heavy bloter on a chimera took out his Carnifex

                  • And like the Phoenix, this thread shall rise AGAIN!!!

Okay, now that that's out of the system...

Grabbed World in Conflict: Soviet Assault and it's an interesting add on.

I say add on, because expansion just doesn't seem to fit so far. I haven't seen any new units or anything similar that usually denotes a traditional expansion. Then again, this isn't exactly normal in itself.

Massive did a unique approach to the campaign. Instead of you choosing one side or another and dictating what the results are, the new Soviet missions have been integrated into the original, with the player bouncing back and forth between nations as the story progresses. As well, as it is so far (I'm at the last mission of part 1), the two forces you have control of do not meet. The original missions play out as they normally do, but the Soviet ones have you go south away from the main conflict, so you don't fight your US forces.

And of course, I have a download going of Red Alert 3: Uprising, which promises to be, at the very least, amusing. (They have one of the Allied commanders being played by Ric Flair, even doing his trademark howl)

                      • Yikes. I'm surprised this one got so far pushed back. There's way too much to update, so I'll just stick with the basics. I've been on XBL more lately with the gamertag TheGunSage if anyone wants to hit me up. Mostly I've been doing King of Fighters 98, but I plan on getting various other fighting games and maybe some more FPSs soon.

Beyond that, I'm on Steam but I don't have anything registered yet, so I'll get back to you on that one. I've been working a lot on my game...but I'm not sure where to post the details for that. I may figure it into my sig, but I don't know. Beyond that, I've been adding more and more titles to my backloggery, specifically if I've beaten them or plan on beating them.

                        That's about it.

                        • I mainly play EQ and on occasion EQ2. I also play quite a few of the online games on reflexive and popcap. I recently joined my hubby and his friends in his D&D campaign. That's been pretty fun.

                          • Grabbed Secret of Monkey Island on Steam for $10. Never played it before. Totally worth it. Some parts I never would have gotten past without the built-in hint system, some I was just a tool in not figuring it out myself, but I did most of it myself! I's a smart one!

                            • I got my wife into WoW. In three days, she became a level 30 Paladin complete with Warhorse. Due to Recruit-A-Friend, my Warlock leveled right beside her and now has a Felsteed. I laugh at the image of a paragon of all that's (supposedly) good and holy riding their white horse along side a paragon of all that's (again, supposedly) evil riding a horse from Hell.

                              • Got my first try of Guitar Hero today, thanks to the place where i rent them from also giving you a guitar to borrow.

Pretty fun so far, although the boss sections are annoying, even on the easy difficulties.
