So I finally finished my online application for unemployment sick benefits. I don't even know if I qualify. I do know that one of the caveats on the pages said that if you owe Canada Revenue ... they make take payments out of your unemployment. And I started paying off my student loan VERY late (mainly because I couldn't find work), so ... even if I qualify, I might lose some or all of my payments to that. 
Not gonna be a major issue if it happens. It's not going to be much to begin with; CRA is welcome to the few dollars I might get. I still have a small amount left from the modest inheritance from my mother; I can draw from that if necessary.
