    I’m heartbroken

Lost our 16 year old male cat today

He was not drinking or eating

My husband and I went to the ER vet today and was told the following..

    his blood sugar was elevated
    he was severely dehydrated
    his heart rate was low
    his body was shutting down

My husband and I made the difficult decision to put him to sleep

    I lost a mutt in 1993
    I lost a calico cat in 2004
I lost another cat in 2007
and I lost my mom in 2018

    This is difficult

Losing a pet is the absolute worst, in my opinion. Lots of people on Reddit have encountered what they call the CDS (Cat Distribution System). A kitty just appears on their doorstep, near their place of work, etc. I think that when the time is right, one will come to you - but you still have to grieve for the one you lost.

              I'm so sorry.

It's always hard to lose a pet, had to put three of my own cats to sleep and my aunt lost her cat earlier this year.
Eh, one day I'll have something useful here. Until then, have a cookie or two.

They are family members, and it's never easy to lose a family member.
