Wraiths - I didn't know you were in Phoenix. We should jam, sometime. What style of music do you play?

Pac Man - does your band have a MySpace?

Unfortunately not yet. We've not had an opportunity to record anything properly - just the normal recordings we get in some rehearsals with a single microphone and a poor-quality mixer. And we don't have a real manager either, just my fiance doing the job, although we aren't planning to do anything big here yet. We only have like 7 songs ready and a bunch of templates or songs otherwise ready but without lyrics

Why do you need a manager? Is it hard to get gigs in your area?

Kind of, yes. There are only so many places to play rock music with Christian lyrics here - living in a town (I like to call this a city, though ) of 200 000 inhabitants plus the roughly 100 000 people living in the surrounding towns (villages??). And this area is known as a popular one to gather new bands... So we need to fight our way into people's conciousness. OK, a demo would be great, but... but... We don't have the opportunity nor the money to go to a studio now. So I guess it'll be a goal further in the future.

We've been planning to try to record something this Easter, so I might have something to share with you then I don't promise anything though.

Believe me, I can relate. Demos are freakin' expensive, and even if you do it yourself, it's a HUGE time investment.

Maybe when I finally get a band we'll fly to Finland and open for you.

I'd love to see you and your band here!

Actually we did kind of a demo but it never came out to anything - we weren't accurate enough and the cut-paste job would have been too ginormous for anyone not doing it for a living. Our vocalist did cut and paste one song (two?), I'll need to check the HDD for them.

EDIT: I have one presentable song here The timing is not perfect but does it need to be at this point? This is not going to be published though so if you want it I'll send it to you by email or PM if PM'ing attachments is possible.

It's on its way now so you should have it in your inbox in 15 minutes or something Also, the name of the band has changed over time here. We discovered that another band uses the name in the filename so we changed it to the name in the topic.

I've been writing more songs lately. If only my piano playing could keep pace with the sort of music I can write, that would be great.

My little brother got a sttel-string acoustic guitar a few weeks ago. It has a string that needs to be replaced, but I'd love to see what he'll do with it.

i got it it's wonderful. The scale is only 30", but it's just perfect for me. I'm only 5'3" so the old 34" scale one is a little too big. This is fast, easy, and very enjoyable to play. Actually I have some pictures of my both basses and an acoustic guitar if you like to see them I think I'm in love the only odd thing is that the e string kind of buzzes. I've checked the nut, saddle, and neck not to be the reason and I just loosened the truss rod a bit. I think though that it's only the string, I'll get to a music store tomorrow and buy a new set of strings to eliminate it.

That was absolutely a good thing to pay 90 of. With shipping it's a cheapskate bass, yes, but I didn't think of getting anything this good for the price. I'm satisfied.
