IS LOOKING UP!!!
--I moved from Houston about two months ago now. (Yes Lupo, I miss you very much!)Back in New Mexico, all the stress that I had in Houston is GONE! Freaking GONE!!
--I have a WONDERFUL job out here with the same chain I worked at in Houston last (IHG) and I actually look FORWARD to going to work!
--Same week I got hired, I found a house and put in a bid. That was a wednesday. The following Friday I get a call and they've accepted the bid! Closing is this coming Monday!!
--I lost weight again (I'm not trying, honest!) and can now fit in the jeans I had left for my sibling in NC. I'm down to 16 Regular in childrens. I miss being a size 4.
--MY BOYFRIEND IS BACK! He stayed behind in Houston until I could find a place. He should be rolling into town sometime around lunch time. He stayed the night in El Paso because he blew a tire.
--I have the BEST MOST AWESOME job in the world! The customers are great! No problems! My coworkers are competent! (except for one but I think that's burn out)
--All my friends here missed me.
--MY BOSS is LOOKING FORWARD to my going to college. I'll be enrolling at Tech for an associates in business. I had to put it off because at the time I wanted to enroll, I didn't qualify for the scholarship so I'll be enrolling next year.
--Also, I'm up for the Front Desk Manager position next year!! Hello massive raise! (additional 10K a year)
--Because I'm buying a house (I qualify) and plan on buying a bunch of energy efficient stuff I'll get a massive tax credit at the end of the year. SWEET!
Also, if all goes as planned (and if I don't get another roommate) the house will be paid off in 13 years instead of the 30 the mortgage people wants me to. Hell, I'll probably take that 8K tax credit and put it towards paying down the house. This is all with my current salary (and paying $600 a month instead of $500 a month on the mortgage) and living expenses here is CHEAP.
--The Boyfriend said I could have a dog.
--I'll be planting a nice fruit garden to go with the apricot tree in the front yard.
--The house will be VERY COLOURFUL. I'll post pictures at the end of the summer when it's done. Yes, the outside will remain white but that's because white reflects light and heat, thus keeping the house cooler in the summer time and preventing the swamp cooler (a cooling system that puts water into the air to cool it) from working too hard.
--The front door will be painted red (brings good luck)
--Lavender will be planted next to the porch (prosperity)
--Aloe next to the walk way (protection)
--And the boyfriend said he would build me a stand alone porch swing that looks like this.
Things are looking up.
