Congrats! Just had my tenth and it gets better every year.

As to your question -
I always ask for the day AFTER a special event off when possible. That way we can go out 'til late, not worry about the next day, etc.

For Nurse Betty's impending birthday on Monday, I was trying to think of something I could get her that she would like, she could use, wouldn't die, would last, and didn't get her mad at me for spending too much money.
