This is only a little mistake but I felt so dumb! At my work, we can cash people's paychecks. For this particular check, I had to enter in info from the customer's ID. So I enter in all the junk and the register spits out the check and won't take it. When that happens, we give the customer the number to call to see why the check won't cash. Sometimes they don't cash because they've already cashed too many, and sometimes it's their work's fault for whatever reason.
Anyhow, lady gets on the phone, and then comes back laughing and hands me her phone. Lady on the phone laughs at me too.
AK= Alaska, not Arkansas. That would be AR! DUH to me! I entered in the abbreviation to the state wrong and that's why she couldn't cash it. I felt so bad for making her wait, but luckily she and her boyfriend, and the lady on the phone had a good sense of humor. And, apparently while lady was calling to see what was the matter with her check, she slipped and landed on her hiney. So her boyfriend thought that was the funniest thing ever, and no one paid much attention to my stupid. Phew!
