Backstory yada yadda - I deliver pizza.
Last night I took an order just before close - it was around 12:30 am when I got there. It was an apartment building, and the apartment was all of 20 feet from the parking lot. I could see the customer's front door from where I stopped.
So I do what most delivery folks of all types do - park in the "loading zone / fire lane" and toss on the hazards, since I'll be gone all of 30 seconds. It was all reserved covered parking anyway
Lo and behold.. I get back to my car and there's someone sitting there in reverse, waiting to back in to a spot that my front bumper was barely blocking (honestly, she could have gotten around my car easily). Whoops. I back up my car, and wait for the lady to back into her parking spot (why she parked backwards is beyond me). As soon as she parks, I roll down my window and start to apologize.
Bean - "Hey, sorry about blocking the spot"
Drunk Lady - "You should $@!#* know better than to block a parking spot!"
Bean - "Pardon?"
Drunk Lady - *rants about how I should know better than to block a parking spot and how she'll have my job etc etc*
Bean turns into the SE at that point and may have said something like "On second thought, I'm not sorry. I was there all of 30 seconds and you're chewing me out for it?"
Lady *sputters as I drive off*
I should point out that she couldn't see the logo on my shirt from where she was and the logo on the pizza sign on my car is badly faded (and doesn't have the store phone number on it).
I wanted to say a lot worse though
- but with my luck she would have followed me back to the store or shot me or something.
