Had a customer yesterday, who I needed to ID for something... she handed me a paper replacement license, which is totally fine, except I was having some trouble reading it... no biggie, but I had to blurt out, "Whaddaya got there? Letters?" and followed it up with, "Ah, it's always a good day when I can reference Futurama..."
She replies, 'Oh yeah?"
So, I start to explain why I love that scene, "See, there's a movie where the characters start traveling backward through time, and one of the characters figures out that any duplicate made through this time travel is horribly, horribly doomed. So, at one point, he's trying to explain it to the one doing most of the time traveling, and he looks at it, and says, 'Whaddaya got there, numbers?' It's so out of the blue, I love it..."
She says, "Yes, that certainly is the scene."
And I go, "Oh, so, you know Futurama, then?"
"Oh yes."
