I walked in a bookshop, when alarms buzzed. Not the first time there, last time I was in that shop, it started when I was leaving, and we (me, younger Web and bookshoplady) found no other reason than my camera (Canon Ixus) in my pocket.
Anyhow, young bookshoplady came and we started sort out, what might have set the alarm, specially when I was coming in, not leaving.
- Camera? No.
- Jacket? No.
- My bag? No.
- My cell? No...
So I was checking out my pockets, got some coins and old sales slips, things you pick up and stuff in your pockets, nothing dangerous. Or so I thought. BSL saw otherwise.
BSL: Can I see those papers?
WP:
Sure...
*gives papers, BSL checks them*
BSL: Ah! This is an old alarm system packet. It may have been this.
WP: That? But... it looks like it has been washed atleast once.
And it did look like that. As other papers along it. But somehow it was activated again and set alarm.
Well, lesson to remember: don't stuff things to your pocket without checking them, they might make things complicated...
