I use an electric mixer at work. It's right next to the gas fryer. The plug in I've been using for the mixer was right behind the fryer, right above the heat exhaust vent.
I remembered why yesterday I stopped using that outlet 5+ years ago. Yeah, there was a big boom and a spark when the heat from the exhaust melted the power cord on the mixer.
I had to take a trip to Wally World to get a new mixer this morning.
