  • Parking garage has no running water in bathroom

    http://www.customerssuck.com/board/s...ad.php?t=98497

The link above pertains to this post.

Turns out from one of my co-workers that the bathroom in this parking garage has no running water. Neither the parking company we both work for nor the client that actually owns the parking garage will fix the problem. So the solution is... give the parking company employees who work in that garage an access card to go to the bathroom inside the building that is located next to the garage.

    The problem with this is...

There are no pay machines inside the parking garage. The parking garage is so old that the entire garage would have to be re-wired to have pay machines installed. So there is a cashier booth instead. But... our employer does not want the exit gates near the cashier booth raised when you have to leave the cashier booth for any reason.

So are they providing buckets? That is ridiculous that you can't even go to the bathroom!

How many workers are in the booth during the shift? If only 1 person, meaning you don't have coverage, this is a labor/OSHA issue. Make complaints, they can keep your name anonymous. Also, document document document. Not down who told you the policy and when, and keep copies if in writing. You never know if it'll come in handy.

This is indeed an OSHA violation. Make a formal complaint immediately. Tell management to pick an option:

        1) You go to the bathroom, the gates are raised and fees are lost.
        2) Gates stay down until you get back. When a customer raises a complaint about waiting it's legitimate and you must be authorized to give them a hefty discount for the inconvenience.

It's their choice, have them make it in writing. I'll bet the water gets fixed quick when they realize this isl costing them money.
