So today was an interesting day at work. I went in to pick up extra hours to help our Director of Sales with some data entry. The downside was that my manager forgot to tell him that she was sending me over there. So for the first three out of my four hours I just did busy work and only spent one hour actually helping out Sales.
The data entry? He went to a trade show and had a bunch of business cards for me to put into a spreadsheet. He handed me a paper bag full of cards. Not like a paper lunch bag, mind you. A full-on paper grocery sack that was about half full of loose cards he'd simply dumped in there.
And in that one hour, I designed the spreadsheet and got most of them recorded.
