Tonight my area experienced a major weather event. The forecasters have been predicting this for like 5 days now. Not all that unusual even at this time of year. Plenty of drivers ready to go.
What was unusual was the fact that for dinner rush there was NO dinner rush at all. AND for a period of about 30 minutes around 7 or 8pm there were NO ORDERS on the screen.
NORMALLY 2 raindrops or 2 snowflakes fall/are seen/are predicted all hell breaks loose as customers "panic order" as if their very lives depend on getting pizza to stay alive and survive the impending apocalypse.
Then the late night crowd of people started to order. and it got real steady. Not very busy but a lot of hotel orders.
I have not seen this happen in many a year in the pizza biz.
